Our need to always be connected has turned our mobile phones into smartphones. So, it’s natural to assume that the next logical leap will be to have computers we can wear around our wrist. That’s the concept behind the Nextep Computer designed by Hiromi Kiriki for Sony which has been earmarked for consumers in 2020.

Some of the key features of this wrist computer are a flexible OLED touchscreen, holographic projector (utilized for a computer screen), and pull-out extra keyboard panels. Looking at pictures behind the concept computer, it seems it would have 3G connectivity allowing for wireless data and possibly voice calling. There is even a camera a wearer can use by simply pointing and shooting with their wrist.
