This guy just physically picked up a flashlight on a table, from a completely different room.
The “Dynamic Shape Display” uses a Kinect motion sensor to scan bodily movements and recreate them on a table of physical “pixels,” allowing you to manipulate objects on the other end.
The pixels on the InForm table are actually a grid of 900 motorized, polystyrene pins that allow you to interact with the physical world around it, for example moving objects on the table’s surface.
This stuff is amazing and I think this technology is part of early stage of advancements in remote interaction, holographs and even teleportation, of a kind.
